Welcome!

Camas Health Recovery Center provides a welcoming, safe community for healing.

More to Come

The Camas Health Recovery Center serves people and their families seeking treatment for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD). Using a personalized care model, we provide attentive services that enrich the well-being of each community member who comes to us for help.

Our recovery clinic and programs will be operating within the next few months.

Addiction does not discriminate. In communities across Washington, the opioid epidemic is devastating individuals and families from all backgrounds. And our community is no exception. The Camas Health Recovery Center Care Team partners with local healthcare and service providers to address the opioid crisis in the region. Here, healing occurs in varied and appropriate ways, including whole-person care and culturally specific care and within clinic and community settings:

Holistic

Research-based, holistic treatment reduces harm and empowers individual recovery. Whole-person care enriches healing for Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) patients, and our staff possesses the expertise to offer additional, wraparound services.

Cultural

We integrate culturally appropriate care for both Native and non-Native patients. As part of your care plan, you will be able to access culturally sensitive programs and services. We also ensure program options that are Medicaid accepted.

Mobile

Supporting patients’ needs and meeting people where they are vital components of our program. We improve patient outcomes by extending support to underserved and rural areas near the Camas Health Recovery Center by leveraging Mobile Clinics.

Our approach to healing provides behavioral healthcare counseling services and other Substance Use Disorder treatments with medication therapy, such as methadone or suboxone, which are FDA-approved medications that help prevent patients from using harmful opioids.
This approach is the most effective intervention to treat opioid use disorder and is more effective than either behavioral interventions or medication alone.

Hope is the pathway to healing

Empathy is at the core of what we do. We consider each person and their individual needs so that our care team can best provide medical, mental, and community services as part of care treatment plans and recovery goals.

Our mission is to nourish hope as a pathway to your healing

Our vision is to be a place of hope for people and families in recovery

Our Staff

We have carefully created a team of care professionals to support our mission and to uphold our values.

An enrolled member of the Spokane Tribe of Indians and a descendent of the First Nations Sinixt people, Ricki began her professional journey in education, and her work with children and families led her to transition her focus to the field of social services. There, Ricki provided direct services for both mental health and substance misuse. Now, she uses her experience and wisdom to provide administrative oversight of various behavioral health programs.

Ricki’s favorite part of her job is interacting and working with patients. She shares, “Through many years of working with children, adults, and families, I came to realize that serving people is actually a mission of mine — a mission of love and one that I am honored to be a part of."

In her spare time, she is happiest staying active with her own family — walking, hiking, and exploring, as well as attending concerts and festivals.

for the Camas Health Recovery Center.

Services

Medication for Opioid Use Disorder (MOUD)

Camas Health Recovery Center provides custom treatment plans that center around MOUD. In combination with behavioral health care and other wrap-around treatments, MOUD has been proven to reduce opioid use more effectively when compared to programs that use placebos or no medication at all. Camas Health Recovery Center offers patients all three FDA-approved medications for opioid use disorder: methadone, buprenorphine (including Suboxone and Sublocade), and naltrexone (including Vivitrol).

We measure success by considering each individual’s needs and goals and structure goals within their unique care plan for recovery. One criterion of success, for example, is meeting personalized goals and objectives articulated in the individual patient’s plan of care activities. Perhaps that means regaining meaningful employment or rebuilding relationships with loved ones.

It's important to note that addiction, like many diseases, can involve cycles of remission and recurrence, and because addiction is often progressive, the results are often disability or death. Without access to treatment and engagement in appropriate recovery programs, the risks increase profoundly. MOUD services cut the risk of death from overdose in half compared to people in counseling alone, or not in treatment.

Camas Health Recovery Center employs licensed medical professionals who administer FDA-approved medications to individuals suffering from opioid use disorder. These medications help stop the use of opioids or other illicit substances and – along with behavioral health counseling and other patient-focused services – create healthy recovery for individuals.

Counseling

Camas Health Recovery Center provides counseling as a primary part of our recovery program.  Specialty addiction and treatment counseling addresses behaviors that may be triggers of addiction and of opioid misuse. We provide cognitive behavioral therapies tailored to individual patients, treating existing psychiatric disorders and other mental health issues. Our team of Substance Use Disorder Professionals (SUDP), Certified Peer Counselors (CPC), and other healthcare providers work together to develop behavioral health programming, and also to provide referrals, case management, supported employment, supportive housing, and care coordination.

Care Services

Camas Health Recovery Center provides related mental health and medical services to further support patient recovery and care.
